FAQ
1. About Reservations and Procedures
Q. How can I make a reservation?

A. In principle, please make your reservation through our online reservation site. At the moment, we do not accept reservations by phone.

If you contact us via LINE or Instagram messages to ask about availability or options, please include the following information as much as possible: Your height, the bike model you prefer, your preferred dates, number of people, and your preferred pick-up time.

If you have already made a reservation, please let us know your reservation number.

Q. How can I contact your shop?

A. You can contact us by phone, LINE, or Instagram messages. WhatsApp is available only as an emergency contact method during your rental period, and we provide the details only at the counter when you pick up your bike.

We also accept inquiries by phone, but please note that not all of our staff can speak or understand English fluently. For non-urgent inquiries, we kindly ask you to contact us via LINE or Instagram messages instead.

Q. Can I return the bike at a different location (one-way rental)?

A. There is a drop-off point about a 5-minute walk from Imabari Station. As this location is not owned by us, a handling fee for the return arrangement of JPY 3,850 per bike will be charged.

Please note that during busy seasons (such as long holidays), we may not be able to accept one-way returns depending on availability. If you wish to use this service, please contact us in advance.

We also work with nearby bike return services such as WAKKA. For details, please check the link below:
WAKKA Return Service

If you have already booked a return service by yourself, please let us know in advance. Please note that some bike models can be carried and some cannot; we will check in advance whether your bike meets the requirements of the return service.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. Cancellations due to bad weather are accepted free of charge, even on the day of your rental. However, your reservation will not be cancelled automatically, so please make sure to contact us in advance.

For cancellations due to personal reasons, the following cancellation fees apply:
・The day before: 50% of the rental fee
・On the day: 100% of the rental fee

We will inform you individually about the payment method and bank transfer details for the cancellation fee, if applicable.

Q. Do I need to show an ID when renting a bike?

A. Yes. At the counter, we ask one person from each group to show an ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, My Number card, or student ID, and we will take a photo of it for our records. The data will be deleted after the bike is returned, so please don’t worry.

2. About Fees and Discounts
Q. What payment methods do you accept?

A. We accept cash, credit cards, QR payments, and transportation IC cards. For delivery service, payment is cash only. When we deliver, we will bring change with us, so please don’t worry.

Q. Until what age does the child rate apply?

A. The child rate applies up to 12 years old.

Q. Do you offer a discount for customers with disabilities?

A. Yes, we do. If you show your disability certificate at reception, we will give you a 10% discount on the rental fee. The discount is not applied automatically, so please be sure to show your certificate at the counter.

3. About Rental Plans and Usage Time
Q. Can I rent for a short time?

A. If we have bikes available on the day of your visit, you can rent from 1 hour. We also offer 3-hour and 6-hour plans. However, advance reservations are accepted only for plans of 6 hours or more. During busy holiday periods such as Golden Week and Silver Week (except the last day of the holidays), we accept only rentals of one day or more.

Q. Is it possible to rent a bike for 10 days, 14 days, or longer?

A. Yes, it is possible. Depending on the rental period and the bike you choose, we may be able to offer a discount, so please contact us directly to discuss the details. Please note that during busy periods and long holidays, we may not be able to accept long-term rentals due to availability.

Q. I want to start early. Is that possible?

A. If you book at least 3 days in advance and rent for one day or more, we can extend your rental time for free from 7:00 to 19:00. Please note that this is not applied automatically, so be sure to tell us in advance if you wish to use this option. Our shop hours are 8:00-18:30. If you are picking up early or returning after hours, please press the intercom. If you use the early pickup, please be punctual.

Q. I will arrive in the evening the day before cycling. Can I pick up the bike then?

A. Yes, you can. We offer an option to pick up the bike after 5:00 PM on the day before and return it by 9:00 AM the next day for JPY 1,000. This option is available only in addition to a rental of one day or more. Pickup only or return only is not available. This service is available only when we have enough availability. During busy seasons, we may not be able to offer it, so please contact us in advance.

Q. What if I’m going to be late for pick-up?

A. If you think you’ll be late, please contact us in advance and we will hold your reservation for you. However, if you are more than 2 hours late without any notice, your reservation will be treated as cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

Q. About rentals on our closing days

A. We do not offer bike pick-up or rental starts on days when the shop is closed. If your return date falls on a closing day, please lock the bike and return it to the designated place. We will explain the details when you pick up the bike. It is no problem to have a rental period that includes our closing days. However, please note that we may not be able to respond to emergencies on those days.

4. About Bicycles, Equipment, and Insurance
Q. What bike brands do you carry for rental?

A. We carry brands such as Cannondale, KHS, FUJI, MARUI, Panasonic, YAMAHA, and Bridgestone, among others. Please note that available models may vary depending on stock and the day.

Q. I’m worried about the battery life of the e-bike.

A. For customers who rent for two days or more (1 night or longer), we provide a charger for free. Our e-bikes are equipped with large-capacity batteries and can run approximately 70-100 km on a full charge. However, the actual range depends on factors such as your weight, luggage, and the assist mode (High / Middle / Eco) you use. If you plan to ride a long distance in one day, such as riding to Imabari and back, we recommend using our optional spare battery.

Q. Is a helmet included?

A. Yes, a helmet is included for free.

Q. Is insurance included?

A. All our bikes are covered by the mandatory personal liability insurance in Japan (up to JPY 100 million). We also offer an optional damage coverage plan starting from JPY 500 per day (we have three plans). Major trouble is rare, but the most common case is a flat tire caused by riding over something on the road. If there is no repair shop nearby, additional fees such as on-site repair costs may be charged. For your peace of mind, we recommend adding the optional coverage.

5. About Convenient Options and Transportation
Q. Can you store my luggage?

A. We can store your luggage for free, except for valuables. We will handle your luggage with care, however, we cannot take responsibility for any damage to the contents. Thank you for your understanding. If you have multiple items, we would appreciate it if you could bundle them together.

Q. Can you deliver the bike to my accommodation?

A. For accommodations on Mukaishima Island only, we can deliver the bike one way for JPY 500 for customers who rent for one day or more. If you plan to rent for a short time, please come to our shop directly. We cannot accept detailed time requests for delivery (for example, only within a time window such as “between X and Y”).

Q. Can I take the bike on a bus to return?

A. As of 2026, there are no buses that can carry bicycles as they are. If you want to take a bus, you will need to remove the front wheel and put the bike in a bike bag. Alternatively, you can return by ferry from Imabari or from one of the islands, and both you and the bicycle can ride the ferry together.
